Preface
This course is your master reference for everything you'll be tested on during BMT. It collects the rules and procedures you have to follow while you're at Lackland, plus the academic material covered on the end-of-course test.
What you're tested on
The End of Course (EOC) test is a 100-question multiple-choice exam. You need a 70% or higher to graduate. Score 90% or higher and you become eligible for Honor Graduate recognition (alongside other performance criteria — see Awards).
You're also evaluated on the Memory Work section throughout BMT — that's the chain of command, emergency notification signals, and rank recognition you'll be drilled on by the end of weeks 1 and 2.
How to use this course
While at BMT, treat this course as your primary study source. Your instructors will teach every subject you need to know — your job is to study at every available opportunity to lock the material in.
After BMT, treat this material strictly as a reference. You'll be issued Air Force Handbook 1, Airman (AFH 1) in your follow-on training, which expands significantly on what you learn here. What you study here is not a day-to-day operational document.
