Common questions

Is this ASVAB practice free?

Yes. Every guide, every practice question and every explanation is free, with no account and no login. Forever Wingman is paid for by advertising, not by charging recruits.

How many subtests does the ASVAB have?

Nine. Four of them - Arithmetic Reasoning, Mathematics Knowledge, Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension - make up the AFQT score that decides whether you can enlist at all. The other five help set the line scores that decide which jobs you qualify for.

What score do I need to join the Air Force?

The Air Force requires a minimum AFQT of 31 for high school graduates and 50 for GED holders, and in practice competitive applicants score well above that. Your line scores, not your AFQT, decide which career fields are open to you.

Where should I start if I have never looked at the ASVAB?

Read what the test actually is, then work backward from the job you want rather than forward from the test. Which subtests matter depends entirely on which career field you are aiming at, and most people study the wrong ones.
